How to Make a Curvy Quilt from Strips

Here are the sizes to cut the strips from the 14" blocks:

2 @ 1" x 14"

1 @ 1.5" x 14"

1 @ 2" x 14"

1 @ 3" x 14"

1 @ 4.5" x 14"

Here are some layout options for your quilt. For each option the first image is using one block with a dark large square 

and the second image is using the block above plus a block with a light large square.

The light and dark blocks alternate in the pattern.

Option 1

First Row - Upper left, lower left ...

Second Row - Upper right, lower right ...

 

Option 2

First row - Upper left, lower right

Second row - Lower right, upper left

  

Option 3

Put 4 large squares together in the middle.

Use all blocks with large dark square (on left below) or all large light squares (on right below)

 

Use half dark and half light squares to get the checkerboard look..

      

 

Option 4

All mixed up.
