Calling all quilters and fabric lovers—exciting updates are here!

We’re thrilled to announce the addition of over 70 brand-new fabric calculators, expanding our collection to cover more than 200 quilt blocks. These calculators are designed to simplify your quilting process by helping you figure out exactly how much fabric you need for each block.

This latest update is especially exciting because it completes our coverage of the first quarter of blocks from the 2023 Block of the Day Video series. Now, all 90 blocks from January through March have dedicated calculators to guide your fabric planning, cutting, and shopping.

Why Use These Calculators?

  • Precision: Get exact fabric measurements for each block size.
  • Time-saving: Skip tedious math and focus on sewing.
  • Efficiency: Shop smarter and reduce fabric waste.

✨ And there’s more for EQ8 users! ✨

We’re also excited to share that all 2023 Block of the Day blocks for January through March are available as Electric Quilt 8 project files. That’s 90 project files for 90 blocks, ready to import into EQ8 so you can:

  • Visualize block layouts
  • Customize colors and fabrics
  • Design full quilt projects digitally

Whether you’re a beginner quilter or a seasoned pro, our fabric calculators and EQ8 files will make your quilting projects smoother and more joyful than ever.

Which AccuQuilt Cutter Should I Buy?

Choosing which AccuQuilt cutter is right for you requires a little thought and information. In my opinion, the best place to start is the AccuQuilt website and their informational video on just this subject. Watch this video or click on this link to find out more information.

What is the Difference Between Cut Size and Finished Size?

The cut size is the finished size + seam allowance. For most shapes the seam allowance is 1/4 (.25) inch on each side.

Example: a 2" finished square is cut 2 + .25 + .25 = 2-1/2 inches.

Triangles are a little different. For Half Square Triangles the cut size = finished size + 7/8.
