Squares and rectangles are all you need to cut for this pattern. Use the Stripology Ruler to make cutting quick and accurate.
ACCUQUILT DIES
If you have the AccuQuilt Fabric Cutting System, you can use square and rectangle dies or you can use the 2-1/2" and 4-1/2" strip cutter dies. These dies are listed below. Click on the highlighted number below for the die you want to know about.
2" x 4" Finished Rectangle
- GO! Qube Mix & Match 8" Block (55715) Shape 8.
- GO! Rectangle 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" (2" x 4" Finished) (55159 or 55715).
- Cut 4-1/2" strips with GO! Strip Cutter-4-1/2" (55054), then rotate 90° and use GO! Strip Cutter-2-1/2" (55017 or 55014) to sub cut into 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" rectangles.
2" Finished Square
- GO! Qube Mix & Match 8" Block (55776) Shape 2.
- GO! Square 2-1/2" (55059 or 55709 ).
- Cut 2-1/2" strips with GO! Strip Cutter 2-1/2" (55017 or 55014), then rotate 90° and sub cut into 2-1/2" squares.
4" Finished Square
This pattern uses the stitch and flip method to make the star points. You can also use a tool called the Folded Corner Clipper from Creative Grids. this tool is demonstrated in the video below.
