Fake Rail Fence Quilt

I saw a picture of a quilt in a catalog the other day. It looked like a Rail Fence block but it was actually made from a single fabric. The fabric looked like wood slats. I have some fabric similar to that so I tried it.

It makes a perfect fake rail fence. I wanted to see if a stripe fabric would work equally well.

Instructions

Use just one fabric. Cut strips @ 10" x WOF. Sub cut each strip into four 10" squares. The finished block is 9-1/2" square. Use the chart below to determine yardage for the size you want.
