This block consists of half square triangles, small and large squares and flying geese units. Included is a tutorial on how to make Flying Geese 4 at a Time.
Fabric and Cutting the Square Dance Quilt Block
A – Corners - 2 @ 2-7/8” (3” to trim)
squares for HST 2 At A
Time OR cut each in half once diagonally for 4 patches.
A – Flying Geese – 8 @ 2-7/8” (3” to trim) squares for FG 4

B – 4 @ 2-1/2” squares.
C – 1 @ 5-1/4” square for FG 4 At A Time.
Piecing the Square Dance Quilt Block

Using your preferred method, make 4 each of the FG units shown. Each unit
should measure 4-1/2” x 2-1/2”.
4. Sew the FG units from step 3 together as shown to make the side units. Each unit should measure 4-1/2”.
5. Refer to diagram to assemble block.
